A Quiet Corner of Italy on Tavistock Street

Welcome to UVA Cantina, and welcome to our journal — a place to share the wines we're pouring, the dishes landing on our boards, and the small rituals that make a Covent Garden night feel like one that mattered.

UVA — Italian for grape — sits at the heart of what we do. We built this room around wine: not as a list to skim past, but as the rhythm of the meal itself. Our cellar leans into Italy and the wider Mediterranean, with a soft spot for small growers and honest, expressive bottles.

The food is made for the middle of the table. Bright small plates, slow-cooked comforts, market-fresh classics treated simply. Pass the plates. Pour another glass. That's the meal we're trying to set.

Thursday to Saturday evenings are when UVA is at its fullest — candles low, room buzzing, kitchen and cellar both at their most expressive. Come before a show, stay for a long dinner, or just disappear for a few hours after work.
